First Visit

You do not need a referral letter to attend for podiatry care.

Your initial appointment will consist of a full medical history being taken as well as a history of your current and past foot problems, including past treatment.  When you come please bring a list of medications you are taking including the dosage as well as your Doctor’s details.  We collect this information because many health conditions and many drugs can impact your feet. We will not contact your doctor without your permission unless your doctor referred you to us. On this first visit we will assess your feet and ankles thoroughly, treat your foot problems and advise on future treatment or home care.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • Any X-rays if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

If you have X-rays/scans of your feet please bring them with you. The reports are not sufficient as they are very basic and we actually need to see the scans.  If you think you will need X-rays we will refer you to the radiologist as we are very particular -generally scans must be taken while weight bearing and from the angles we want.
